Quail Farm, Colonial charm

Gorgeous accommodation, very calm and peaceful. It was warm and cosy even with all the rain & hail we experienced whilst here and the host was lovely. The outside bath was my favourite, breakfast basket was so sweet and there was even a friendly cat. We would definitely recommend a stay for some relaxation!

this place is ADORABLE. really cozy and has everything you could need. close enough to town to drive in but far enough away to feel the relaxed vibe. wished I had booked for longer! Every detail considered.

I really love the cute design of the room. The surrounding is very peaceful and I enjoyed the outside bath so much. The hand-made bread is super delicious. Thanks to Rachel for providing a single bed as well. We had an amazing stay in sunny Nelson!

I prefer to have more protein for breakfast. A hard boiled egg would have been nice.

We loved being in our own cottage and in such a beautiful location. It was so quiet and secluded. Great location to travel up into the Abel Tasman National Park, where we enjoyed hiking, travelling by water taxis and having lunch at a remote lodge only accessible by sea or foot.

Rachel made us feel very welcome and our accommodation (Orchard Studio) was great. It is set in lovely gardens/orchard and there is a nice pool that we didn't get time to use owing to pre-planning too many other activities in the vicinity. The Studio was nicely furnished and we were given a large breakfast basket on the first morning with a loaf of fresh bread, butter, fruit compote, yogurts, jams, hazelnut spread and marmalade. There is a large shower but you can divert the water to the bath tub out on the porch for a soak under the stars. There were plenty of other welcome extras such as fresh hazelnuts (and an efficient nutcracker) on the porch, sun lotion, insect repellent, foil, cling film and cooking oil. There was also a complimentary lavender product mate from the lavender grown on the farm. We highly recommend a stay here in this great rural location.
