Basic room had all we needed. Continental breakfast was a nice touch.

Had a very heavy fragrance oil diffuser smell.

Excellent breakfast, exceeding expectations. Facilities were very good - particularly the kitchen, dining/ soft seating/tv area.

Beautiful property and host

The location is within walking distance to bus & train stations. Continental breakfast was a bonus. The kitchen is equipped to make your own meals with large fridge/ freezer & washing machine for clothes if staying longer than a few days.

Security is a big issue for guests. The palms room only has a cheap un- secured thumb knob that someone could easily & quickly kick in the door. The lock works from the hallway, not in the room (unlike the other 2 rooms that you can hear the guests locking themselves in). There is old clear tape over the lock to prevent putting the key in so the owner is aware of this issue & never fixed - a simple, quick, affordable, SAFETY, fix. The window only locks closed, not in a position to allow ventilation (already mentioned in reviews from a few years ago & still not rectified). There is an air conditioner/ fan very comfortable. The front double doors are old & wooden, yes a dead bolt however could be kicked in especially at the hinges - not secure & you can hear all street noise from the front that wooden door in the bedroom(s). Have stayed in safer hostels. Reading past reviews it would appear that the owners have access to the back garden courtyard- the door leading to this area does not lock. And the pictures are Not what you look out at, beautiful garden furniture as shown in pictures (again old reviews say the same) owner needs to remove All photos of garden, this just comes across as a scam. . August @ 38* is seasonal but the garden furniture in photos no longer exists. Previous guests sheets & towels drying / blocking view to lower garden courtyard. No noise of dogs however the Palms room is at the front of the building next to the kitchen, can’t hear anything from the back courtyard. Got a text message from Raquel the owner in the am asking if everything was ok, replied with her security problems & to date, 6 days later, no reply. Therefore this is now a review in hopes she rectifies the security issues, Now! & guests can comment that all doors are safe. Other than taking a high risk with bad security doors & locks, the guest house was really good.

We appreciated the furniture of the room and the cleanliness. The included breakfast was a great surprise. Very cute courtyard and shared spaces. The host was available in case of need.

The neighbourhood it's not so elegant like the property itself
