Very comfortable place to stay, everything was great. Very friendly host with lots of local knowledge. Definitely would stay again. Very generous breakfast.

Leslie was very welcoming and lovely company. She really made us feel at home in her home, and even brought in our washing from the clothesline when it was dry.

Lesley's breakfast was excellent, with her own brand of jams and marmalades to add to the delight. We enjoyed talking with Lesley and hearing her stories. The ensuite room was well-appointed and would be good for someone with a disability. The location, at the entrance to the Kawerau Gorge is good, out in the countryside but near enough to Cromwell to get to the supermarket in 10 minutes.

The neighbouring fruit farm uses fans to keep the frost off its trees when it gets cold. If these are turned on, it sounds like a helicopter in the distance, which some people might find annoying – it's only a problem on the rare nights when it gets cold during the fruiting season.

Leslie was welcoming and friendly. The house was well kept and homely. Breakfast was very good.excellent and friendly
