It seemed like preparing breakfast for us was going to be a chore for our host so we passed it up in favour of going into Cromwell. Location was nice

We were scolded by the host almost as soon as we arrived for apparently driving too fast up the driveway. This seemed to set the tone for our stay. Lesley did print off some documents for us which was nice, and called to inform that we'd left something behind but there wasn't a lot of hospitality besides that.

"Great stay in Cromwell"

Very helpful friendly host. Room was comfy, warm, nice big window looking out into the garden. Shower was good, toiletries provided. Lovely quiet location. Great breakfast-cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurt, tea etc. very good value for NZ. Cute Scottish terrier in residence! Close to some good hikes. Cromwell has two major supermarkets.
