"Nice place to stay in Hokitika."

Butch made a wonderful breakfast. Sharyn made us feel like home. Easy drive into town and for day trip to the seal colony on Cape Foulwind on Tauranga Bay and the Pancake Rocks. Butch can also do shoe repair.

Our hosts were so helpful and welcoming. Their home is absolutely immaculate and they have thought of everything to make their guests feel comfortable. Breakfast was delicious we enjoyed exploring Hokitika.

"Wish we could've stayed longer"

We only got to stay one night, but absolutely loved Amberlea. The house was immaculatly clean, and perfectly laid out as a B'n'B with large rooms and comfortable tasteful common areas. Exceptional hosts who offered great suggestions for activities and food. They were very gracious and welcoming and set the tone for a great stay. The cooked breakfast was an absolute highlight and had us lamenting the fact we couldn't stay longer as we drove away. 100% would stay again and recommend to anyone staying in Hokitika.

Beautiful and well run B&B, grounds and house are lovely and Sharyn and Butch are charming as well. Highly recommend this spot. If you don’t have car, ask in advance if they are available to pick up or drop as they kindly offer.

"Very comfortable stay, a home away from home in an excellent location."

Breakfast was very generous and delicious, with a variety of selection on offer. Location is in a very tranquil and peaceful setting only a short walk from the beach and town centre.
