Wairimu View Lodge

The location was perfect, beautiful rural and sea views right next to native bush, it is situated off the main roads so was quiet and peaceful, only sounds coming from birds and insects. The food provided for breakfast was ample, the selection of cereals was delicious, we had the bread and milk of our choice. There was a variety of spreads, orange juice, croissants with fillings supplied. The outside sitting area is sheltered, the deck had lovely pot plants on it and outside furniture and barbeque.

We truly loved everything about Wairimu Lodge. From the beautifully decorated room and luxurious bathroom, to the view, to the thoughtful touches including ample breakfast options (even croissants!). It was so quiet and peaceful, and felt incredibly private despite being attached to Peta & Rich's house. Peta & Rich are incredibly generous hosts, and the welcome book provided gave us so many helpful hints about the property, the local area, and even included up-to-date menus of local eateries.

Lovely room with a perfect view and a very comfortable bed. Owners were lovely and flexible with our dates when the weather wouldn’t allow us to come.

I love everything about the place. It's exactly what it looked like in the photos and more. The view is amazing, plus Peta and Rich are so accommodating. I was craving for a bit of relaxation somewhere luxurious and it's what I got. I'm hoping to come back soon.

Nothing. The place was perfect.

The lodge was very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated, the indoor plants quite special. We had plenty of supplies for breakfast, the shower was spacious and excellent, and the bed was large and very comfortable .As it was raining quite a bit it was a lovely space to hang out in, and still close to restaurants for dinner. The view is also great, over green hills to Whangarei heads.

Everything was perfect

The lodge is incredible. Peta and Rich have thought about every detail. We had an amazing time, the prefect getaway for a few nights with no kids. The bath is fab, bed super comfy and the views to die for.

Great beach views but long distance.

A larger outside table would be great to have.
