Hibiscus House Bed and Breakfast

It was the second time we stayed at the b&b and we loved it. The owners were so lovely and helpful, we loved chatting to them over a coffee! Peter picked us up and organised a golf buggy. The breakfast was fresh and lovely! And the best coffee on the island! We will definitely stay again!

The rooms could be a bit upgraded but we had the most comfortable!

Loved it all

Great hosts, very welcoming and flexible, they accommodated all our requests. The house is nice and homey, in particular the terrasse. We appreciated the water machine. Definitely good value for money.

Breakfast was too limited, both in variety and quantity (we had to ask for more, which was uncomfortable). The house could use small improvements (black curtains, more hooks or racks to hang towels or laundry..). Cleaning could be more thorough.

Breakfast being included was a large bonus, helped to save on energy in the morning and money. Nicola was amazing; she had lots of recommendations and helped with reservations for the golf cart, massage, and Casa Tortuga. Best host I've ever had!

Though the bathroom was clean, it was a little limited. The bathroom had to be shared with other guests from different reservations. Otherwise, everything was great!

The manager Nicola was super nice. Gave us a lot of information and was always available. Fresh but very simple breakfast. The pick up at the ferry is a huge plus.

Noisy single bed. Weird smell in the living / dinning room. Always lights off even during breakfast. Courtains werent't black out and all the light from the street came into the room, wich was disturbing for sleeping. Breaskfast very simple, not a hotel, but fresh. The girl responsible for the cleaning and for making breakfast did a lousy job at the room cleaning and also during the breakfast. Always had a horrible face, horrible atitude, and only cared for her cellphone. We had a cockroach in the room one day and lots of hair under the bed. The person responsible for the reservations had a poor comunication with Nicola, who asked us about the payment, when it was all paid for. Next time, we would probably try another place.

We enjoyed the hospitality the most, as well as the seating on the balcony (especially at the back with a view of the rainforest), the breakfast and the good care of Nicola and Allen. It is nice that the entire island can be explored on foot from Hibiscushouse.

Nicola was really nice before, during and after the stay. She recommended us a good Place to eat, a wonderful tour guide (Coral Dreams) to see the whales, and was always available to support.

We did enjoy everything, but expectations towards Panamá can’t be set too high. People aren’t proactively nice to you and prices are high.

Nicola is a great host full of knowledge about the island. She even picked us up from the ferry and delivered our bags there on our departure. The breakfast every morning was wonderful.

Our only complaint was that the comforters on the beds were old and a bit stained. Simply replacing them would make this place a 10 out of 10.
