Hibiscus House Bed and Breakfast

Nicola was the best host and made sure we were comfortable at all times. She was very responsive with any questions or issues we had while on the island. We rented a golf cart for the weekend which was perfect to get around. The breakfast was really good and fresh! The location is very central to all of the locations on the island and there are great restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely come here again.

We didn't have any negatives, good value for one of the cheaper stays on the island

It’s a little out of the way, but just be sure to rent a cart!

The host, Nicola, was friendly and came to pick us up when we arrived. She made sure to give us some info about the island and made us tea and coffee while we waited for our room to be ready. She also arranged for us to rent snorkel gear for the affordable price of $15! The room was perfect for three people, had AC, and had a little outdoor seating area out front. Breakfast was made to order in the morning. They held onto our extra luggage so we could hang out at the beach, and brought it to us at the ferry dock when it was time for us to leave.

The stay was pricy for what it was, but this is to be expected for an island accommodation. The location also made for quite a bit of walking for us, but we could have chosen to rent a golf cart (we just didn’t want to spend the money on it).

Hibiscus house was a great place to stay on the island. The room was great and the bed comfortable. Air conditioning was good. We had a TV and access to Netflix and other programs. The breakfast was great. Both Nicola and Allen were great hosts. When we asked about anything, they were very helpful in answering our questions. They picked us up from the ferry and took us back to the ferry. Our room was cleaned everyday.

When we arrived, we would have liked a one page map of the island to carry around with us. They had magazine with maps in them but a one page map would have been nice. The golf cart could have been better but this was not Hibiscus’s fault, In fact the first one was not good and Nicola helped to secure another one. The second one was adequate, but as we drove around the island we saw that other people had better ones.

Nicola is the nicest host. She really went out of her way to make sure that my stay at Contadora Island was great ! And it was thanks to her. Amazing restaurant recommandations. Her staff is also very nice. Would totally recommand ! The room was also very comfortable and clean and the breakfast very tasty and generous.

Location was peaceful and the pick up from the ferry really helpful. The team were also great with helpful recommendations and contacts to organise golf buggy for hire etc.

This place was fantastic. The woman running it (Nicola) was so friendly & welcoming—she helped us set up a snorkeling trip and even took me to the local clinic when I got a bunch of sand in my eye and had to have it cleaned out (which was free!). The room was great-private patio, fridge & big bathroom with a huge shower that was always hot. Fresh breakfast every day (coffee, amazing fruit salad, toast & egg dish). We were there for the annual skydiving event & had friends staying other places—it sounds like we definitely had the best hotel experience.

Nothing-it was wonderful. We do recommend renting a golf cart though. It made it much easier to get around. Ours cost $85/day for a 2-person cart.
