Pine Tree Cove - your holiday retreat

Gorgeous island-top property, with AMAZING views! Delicious, filling breakfast, comfortable bed and cool view when waking up! The host is engaging and funny, the area is very nice to walk down to this small village, Montepertuso, outside Positano. We had two amazing dinners there. We are reasonably active and have stayed at many properties with a lot of stairs or hiking. We found the stairs doable if you weren’t in a hurry and took some breaks. It became easier as the stay went on. We also brought only backpacks and personal items, which made it much easier. The view when you get to the top, the kind and charming staff, and the comfortable stay was well worth it all.

The most amazing place to stay in the Positano region. Paiso and Marco were both so accommodating and lovely - they are so passionate with what they do. Being greeted at the top of the stairs with cold water, maybe a glass of wine, and even offering to join them for lunch. We wish we could have stayed longer, and to this day, we think the zucchini pasta dish was the best meal we had in Europe.

The service was excellent. The team was excellent the work well together This a nice bed and breakfast nestled up high in the hills

The public bus service was inconvenient and if it was full you’d wait another hour The steps will build your quads.

Hosts were very accommodating and breakfast was great

The location is far from the city center and it’s difficult to get a taxi anywhere. We had to walk up and down the 380 steps everyday (sometimes multiple times a day) and then take a the very overcrowded buses. I also didn’t like that the bathroom was in a common hallway with the other guests rooms. Don’t plan on walking out the shower naked!

Stairs, but the staff took our luggage up & down we can’t complain. The view was spectacular!!

The breakfast was fantastic. Our hosts couldn’t have done more to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms were large and very comfortable. The view from our balcony was amazing!

The stairs! There are a lot of stairs to get up to the hotel (which is made clear before booking). This is the only very small negative to say but the hotel is definitely worth every step!

It was all great But just know there’s 400 steps from the road to the front door so u have to be in ore pretty good shape to make that hike maybe twice a day

We had an amazing time at Colle dell‘Ara. Paisia and Marco are wonderful hosts, the place is a little oasis above Positano with a fantastic view. The great breakfast was an extra bonus :)

Breakfast was so yummy. The room was so nice with the comfiest bed ever! The room was really dark at night with the blinds shut, so had a great sleep and lovely and bright in the day, with the perfect view!! Such nice touches from the host such as dinner recommendations, water on arrival, coffee with breakfast etc. Thanks for a great stay x

The stairs were hard but worth it for the beautiful view and we were given water at the top every time which was so kind.
