Ocean Caves, Balapitiya

This hotel is situated in a secluded area. There are no more hotels around and it's just a few minutes walk to the beach. The beach near this hotel is very beautiful and there's nobody there so you can feel like on an uninhabited island. The hotel and it's area is very pretty and clean. Everything is clean and comfortable. The staff is also very helpful. This hotel is for you if you just want to spend a night away from everyone and in the quiet.

Sometimes it's hard to find someone who works there, so you may have to wait with your question. But it's not a big problem.

If you want to find a quiet place in a beautiful secluded area for a fair price, this is your stay! The room was good, ac also working and the shower functional. The staff was very friendly and helpfull and the area itself is beautifull. A quiet beach is on walking distance and you can watch the sun sink in the ocean from an extra terrace. Breakfast and dinner were nice as well. And as bonus, on arrival we got a tour of the surrounding area, beaches, even a little climbing tour over the rocks! Ask for neighbour Ravi ;) he will tell you everything about different fish, lobsters, oysters en the local life in that area!

For this fair price, no complaints! And maybe with a little extra maintenance would do the place even better!

We spent a nice lazy week there. The pool was nice, close proximity to almost a private beach. Loved the breakfasts and fresh fruits. The staff was helpful, and attentive.

The blinds were covered in mold, the room is rather small and not of the best cleanliness. The bed was not very comfy. WiFi was ok only when next to the router. There were sometimes random people on the premises. Overall for the money, we expected a bit higher standard.

The property was perfect for a relaxing few days away from the city. Great beach near by and a few cafes and restaurants along the street. It had cooking facilities and was comfortable. Staff incredibly friendly. Massive breakfast

I felt the pool area could have been a bit cleaner, I understand the climate is difficult but there was a lot of ants which made sitting by the pool uncomfortable

Location was perfect. Next to beach and only 10 minutes from the shops. Swimming pool was great and so was breakfast. Stayed in a lot of places and this was the only one that had kettle and tea in the room

This is such a lovely place! Nice room with enough storage space and air conditioning. The whole place is set in a beautiful tropical garden with a pool and sun beds. There is even a kitchen for the guests where you can prepare your own meals. The host is incredibly friendly and kind, always looking out for the comfort of his guests. He went out of his way to provide everything for a pleasant stay. In the morning you can have a delicious breakfast on a terrace right on top of a rock with an amazing view over the ocean. The location is nice at the end of the village with easy access to a secluded beach. I highly recommend this guesthouse. Thanks again for this unforgettable stay!
