Brecon Pond Bed & Breakfast

Imagine... you wake up on a sunny Summer morning, soft light peeking out from behind the curtains, and - not too loud at all, but enough to make you smile! - the chirruping of happy chickens can be heard from outside. The hardest choice you need to make right now is where you'd like to have your morning cuppa: in the spacious & pleasantly cool kitchen / lounge area, or out on the sun-soaked front porch, overlooking the flora & fauna of the pond? Welcome to Brecon Pond Bed & Breakfast. A little slice of paradise tucked safely away in Stratford - easy to find (the property is signposted & well-lit), but so hard to say goodbye to! The quick notes: PARKING - easy off-street parking is available right in front of your room. BREAKFAST - may be seasonal / dependent on availability, but we had museli, orange juice, milk, butter, honey, jams, bread, and fresh eggs provided for us. BEDS - just the one, but it was just right (not too firm, not too soft). All bedding was crisp & clean. BATHROOM - you have your own private ensuite-style bathroom, with shampoo / conditioner / body wash & fresh towels all provided. SCENERY / VIEW - words & pictures cannot capture the beauty of Brecon Pond, truly. You'll just have to trust me (and all the other reviewers), this place is stunning. When you arrive, you'll find a Compendium prepared for you - I'd recommend having a looksee through this, it's far more than just "here's how the TV works". Alongside all the instruction manual snippets & local menus, Stephen & Casey (the humans behind Brecon Pond) have also included photos from their renovation journey. They are clearly people who love & care for their property - walking around the gardens & pond made this all the more evident. The fresh eggs & honey we found in our kitchen come from the chickens & bees on the property.

Booking.com is making me write something here, so I guess I could mention that there wasn't a full-length mirror. But since that's the ONLY thing I could possibly comment on as a "didn't like", you might as well ignore this bit. Thank you, Stephen & Casey, for an amazing stay. I genuinely don't have anything I "didn't like" about Brecon Pond :)

Hier wurde ein ganz bezauberndes Reich von Stephen und Casey geschaffen. In dem äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichteten Apartment mit Wohn- und Schlafraum gab es noch ein großes modernes Bad und eine Küchenzeile, in der es an nichts fehlte. Der Blick aus dem Schlafzimmer und von der Terrasse geht in den traumhaft schönen Garten mit Teich, der ebenfalls noch eine Sitzgelegenheit bietet. Ich bin sehr warmherzig empfangen worden und habe mich im Brecon Pond B&B sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein Parkplatz ist direkt vor der Tür. Die Lage ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt zum Besuch des Mt. Egmont (Taranaki) Nationalparks.

The pond and surrounding gardens were lovely. It was so peaceful sitting on the back deck watching the birds and sun on the water.

Everything was perfect.

Sehr freundlicher, persönlicher Empfand. Komfortable Unterkunft und ein traumhafter Garten. Eier und Honig von den hauseigenen Tieren.

tolle Lage in einem traumhaften Garten, zum Frühstück gab es Eier der eigenen Hühner und Honig von den eigenen Bienen, gute Tipps des Besitzerpaares. Es war wunderschön!!! Jederzeit wieder, aber dann länger!!
