Very thoughtful hosts. Breakfast is a DIY affair with all the ingredients and facilities provided - this is a small apartment set aside from the main house in a private setting with a great outlook over the beautifully maintained garden and pond set in its own piece of woodland - perfect for an extended stay and ideally positioned for visiting all of Taranaki Province

Food provided was more than we required, unit was very comfortable and great view over the back lawn to the pond that was lit up at night.

Everything was provided for a great b'fast. Quiet, private setting. Lovely garden with view of the Mountain. Comprehensive notes on how to work everything. The actual layout of the kitchen / living was great - the actual kitchen could be cut off with sliding doors to make living room a relaxing, cosy space.

There was extra bedding available - e.g. mohair blanket. It would have been nice to have this on the bed when I arrived as it was cold the first night. When I had it for the last 2 nights it made all the difference.

Unit was clean, comfortable, quiet, and private—we couldn't have asked for more. Especially appreciated the dozen eggs from their chickens and the honey from their bees. Owners were friendly and gave great activity suggestions. Thanks to them, we saw kiwis in the wild at a nearby reserve.
