"Little sanctuary close to Auckland"

We had a wonderful night in Kakariki Cottage, and were sad we wouldn't get to spend more time in this lovely, private sanctuary. The cottage is appointed with everything you could ask for and more and whilst close to the city it is quiet and surrounded by paddocks. We were on a rush in the morning so didn't get to take advantage of the generous fresh egg and milk delivery - but maybe next time. We would love to come back. Thanks for having us!

Great cooking and living facilities, well stocked fridge for delicious breakfasts with fresh fruits. outside decking in garden with chairs for stargazing or eating al fresco. Fire pit(we didn’t used as very warm weather), good space for parking.

Have to drive to restaurants or bars so we bought food from supermarket and cooked. The ladder to the bedroom can be difficult for some especially in the night when visiting bathroom.

Out of the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to where we needed to go. Rural location , peaceful . Cute wee cottage, private. Stocked fridge with milk, eggs , bread and more. Unique stay, we loved it.

A few ants but it’s rural so not a biggie. Aircon was not enough to compete with how hot it got. Long grass in driveway getting caught under car. These are minor things though, it was lovely there, we would still stay again.

"Fabulous airport stop off but feel like in the wilds"

One night booking just 30 mins from airport but a world away. Feels lovely and remote whilst not. Nice little town a short drive away by with a few restaurants and groceries. Perfect for us - good facilities - home from home. Quiet and nicely furnished. Good description and aware of ladder to bedroom. Quirky and suited us. Very good directions provided.

Nothing - we wished we had booked 2 nights.

Lovely cottage with interesting archtecture. Quiet. Clean. Private. Comfortable large bed.

Not as remote as the description makes it sound. Although the decor throughout is nice, the resued older kitchen cabinets and the shabby TV cabinet is not as attractive. The instructions from the owner, to look for specific trees or hedges are awful. Why not just say house number is:...B.
