OLD PORT ROOMS di Fronte all'Acquario - GENOVABB IT

The room was clean and with a modern design in a historic building. The host was very friendly, she advised me about the town and she recommended places to visit, which I enjoyed. The host answered to my messages quickly and she was always with the mood to help. The location of the room is very close to the aquarium and other tourist attractions, which was easy to visit on foot.

Very buzzy location in the port old town.

You just have to be comfortable with the bustle of the place. I liked it, others might find it more challenging

I liked that it was quiet, clean, and well located. The hosts were also super nice and welcoming, and they gave great restaurant recommendations!

Small detail, but I did not like that you were not allowed to cook/use the stove, even though there was a kitchen.

AVOID GENOVA . A run down city that had been taken over by illegal immigrants from Africa and Bangladesh. Though the apartment is nice, it is not located in a good area. Dangerous area . As I was getting into the apartment, one of the pick pocket guy approached me . He said he will try to help me to get in the apartment though he was trying to take something from me. Pick pocket- what has gone wrong with Europe - these folks are all over Europe . Rundown area with the graffiti all over - sad this has happened to this once majestic Genova . I saw many on the streets, engaged in illegal Gambling . Many drug addicts around the apartment . I would suggest that people stay in Santa Margarita 45 minutes Train ride from Genova . Stunning beautiful small town. From here the famous Portofino is only about 15 minutes bus ride . I hope the city and the Italian government do something about once majestic city of Genoa. Shame that the city has fallen to this level with unsustainable illegal migration.

The description of this property is that it is a bed and breakfast - it’s not. It’s an apartment which is being rented out on a per room basis with access to a communal kitchen. If I had known that, I wouldn’t have booked to stay here with two young children - while we didn’t have any problems, you don’t know who you will be “living with”.
