La Valletta Boutique Wine Estate

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay. The property is absolutely stunning, the views are unparalleled, and the staff is incredibly kind. The perfect remote getaway, while also having easy access to restaurants in Panzano.

Beautifully landscaped grounds with a pool. We spent 5 days in one of their apartments with a small kitchen and eating area & 1/2 bath downstairs and a lovely bedroom suite upstairs with an en suite bath. The views were spectacular in all directions. The breakfast staff was so accommodating with a nice selection of items. Espresso drinks and eggs were made to order.

This location is absolutely stunning when you are outside! It is very private feeling as we barely saw our neighbors at all. The pool was a little too cold to swim when we were there in May (however it was open!), but we really enjoyed the garden area as we were surrounded by the most gorgeous, colorful roses! The view is stunning. This location is very convenient to Panzano in Chianti. There are endless wineries around with short driving distances. The food in Panzano is also very good - we had no shortage of dinner options!

Google Maps will lead you astray. Based on the booking and video everything says La Valletta, but the signs and most things say Gagliole. Make sure from the main road you turn at the church that is under construction, then there are signs you can follow. If Google Maps takes you to a tiny turn off into grapes and no signage, do NOT try and come up with your own route and say "there is a road after this that looks like it takes you there too!", it is basically a farm road that is not ok to drive if in a sedan. Make sure you enter by the church! The apartment we had was called Ulivo. It is nice and spacious, but there are barely any windows in this apartment and there is no view at all. Luckily, the weather was nice and there is a little table and chairs outside to enjoy coffee in the morning and also the garden and pool area, but if the weather is not good then this apartment is not the place where you want to stay! I would suggest asking for one of the apartments that have a garden door so you can see outside from your room!
