New Jaya Villa

I booked for 2 nights and ended up stayed for 7 nights. Great place to relax and explore the beautiful Bentota. Lovely spacious big room with good fan. Large comfortable bed for good nights sleep. It was immaculately clean. Also contained separate kitchen area with small stove and utensils for cooking own food hot drinks. Also was large fridge freezer Located in large beautiful gardens and two minute walk to the glorious beaches of Bentota and shops restaurants all in walking distance . Big size bathroom with shower with hot or cold water. Great host and family always available and friendly kind people. Highly recommend very good value for money.

Absolutely beautiful property! Bed, bathroom, garden, it’s all fabulous! With incredible air conditioning! The property is a short 5 minute walk to the beach and about 10 or so to the restaurants! Jaya is a lovely host! Very grateful to of found this stay!

Nothing, it’s perfect!

The whole property is just wow! Covered with in house garden, the place is the best for a leisure stay in Bentota. Rooms are quite good and spacious. One gets abpvt kitchen which is useful if someone is planning to stay for longer and wants to cook. If you are a dog lover, then there's a cherry on the top - their dog Mashi(3 yr old Doberman). She is very friendly and rarely barks. Whenever she needs someone new, she often smiles. The beach is at a 5 min walk from the house(don't go by the Google maps route, ask the host - there's a shorter route across railway track) There are a lot of restaurants near the beach. Breakfast is also available at the stay and it's pretty good. One of the bests that I had in my whole Sri Lanka trip. The hosts have a Tuktuk and a boat so they can help you arrange boat safari or nearby market trips if required.

Little old but very nice accommodation close to Bentota beach. The host is really kind and helpful. Arranged river safari for us and cooked tasty dinners-mullet fish and prawns. The breakfast was big and very tasty.

Very clean. Helpful owner who arranged good value boat trip and taxi, beautiful gardens. Comfortable room with good ac. V good value for money, much nicer than most hotels I stayed in. I would recommend.

A little far from restaurants for a solo female to walk to at night. My downstairs room was next to dogs toilet.

The accommodation is made with a lot of love from the host. You have the feeling of being in the middle of the jungle because he has created an enchanting garden. The host is also incredibly nice and helpful. We asked him for a local breakfast and got the most delicious Sri Lankan curry so far.

I was charged at higher rate, as the host accepts only cash, the balance was not returned to me. I also paid for two breakfasts, while only one of them was served, again for that there was no refund.

New jaya villa was in a lovely woofed area. 2 mins from the beach.. Jaya is a great host. Lovely food.. Excellente English... Great pet dog.. I had a lovely few days there.. I've been recommending to other travelers. Allround excellent.

Not much to report here.. As the host is doing business for nearly 40yrs. He runs it well.
