Todo estaba muy limpio, el personal era muy amable y la cafeteria de abajo está muy bien.

La ubicación no es excelente, por lo demás todo bien.

Stairs which was a huge challenge for my mobility challenged sister. Lock up of property and having to call the owner for codes etc.

The room was smaller than it appeared in the photos, but it had everything we needed to explore Colombo.

We arrived at 7 p.m. and no one was there to let us in. Thanks to some other hotel guests, we managed to open one of the key boxes, even though we didn't know the codes, so at least we could get into a room. We had called the host countless times and tried to contact him via email, WhatsApp, and text message, but to no avail. After waiting for over 1.5 hours, the other guests returned from dinner. We then quickly left as well. When we returned, the entrance gate was locked with a huge lock and we couldn't get into the accommodation or our room at 10 p.m. I had to break through a gate with spikes that was 2-2.5 meters high to get to the room. This would probably not be feasible for many people. Thank God I spent a lot of time on the streets as a child... BTW - the next day we wanted to use the hotel's own cafe for breakfast. It was closed. The service could have pointed this out to us. According to Google, it was open, so people from outside even came and actually wanted to eat there.

La habitación era bonita, la cama cómoda y estaba en un lugar comunicado con el centro

Llegamos justo cuando estaba cerrando la cafetería a las 18h. Si no llegamos a llegar a esa hora, nos hubiéramos quedado en la calle. No tenían constancia de nuestra reserva porque la habíamos realizado en ese mismo día, y lo primero que nos preguntaron fue cuándo pensábamos irnos. Les dije que aún no habíamos hecho el check in y ya nos preguntaban por nuestra salida, que no era normal, y se sorprendieron. Por la noche se oían animales (espero que pájaros) andando por el techo. Dormí con tapones. Nos guardaron la mochila durante el día, pero como la cafetería cierra a las 18h, hay que recogerla antes.

Spacious rooms with a modern look. Solid A/C and the cafe downstairs is cozy with good coffee. Clean sheets and clean bathroom.

We got a room upgrade to a room right next to some sort of water pump that would turn on and off constantly during the night. The sound would vibrate all the way through the bed, really unfortunate as it affected our sleep quite a bit.

The room was clean and charmingly decorated. Everything was fine until midnight, when a noisy commotion started coming from the roof. kept ringing all night until 8 a.m. At first, I thought it was the sound of the air conditioner's outdoor unit, but when I went outside, I found that the outdoor unit was also very loud, but that wasn't the cause. The scary thing about this sound was that neither plugging my ears nor wearing headphones helped; it was accompanied by vibrations in the room, and each time it lasted about 10 -30seconds, paused for two seconds, and then started again at a high pitch. At first, my nerves couldn't take it, and after three hours, my heart started to feel uncomfortable. This morning I saw the water tank on the roof of this room, and the sound I heard was the pump running. I'm staying in room number three. If it weren't for this noise problem, it would have been a pleasant stay.

My advice for other guests is that if you choose this guesthouse, do Avoid Room 3！！
