Familia encantadora que nos acogió con los brazos abiertos. Nos hicieron una cena deliciosa. Muy agusto. La pena solo estar 1 noche. Para repetir!!

Do Kottamba Yala Stay & Safari przyjechałem z żoną i córkami, od samego początku czuliśmy się tam jak u dobrych znajomych. Jeszcze przed przyjazdem gospodarze zapytali, czy jesteśmy głodni, i przygotowali dla nas pyszny obiad ze składników pochodzących z ich własnego ogrodu. Atmosfera była niezwykle rodzinna – gospodarze mają dzieci i dwa przyjazne pieski, które dodatkowo umilały pobyt. Spędziliśmy tam niestety tylko jedną noc, ale gospodarz powiedział nam, że następnym razem mamy przyjechać na dłużej, bo ma nam do pokazania wiele ciekawych miejsc. Na koniec zrobił nam niespodziankę - wręczył mam piękny prezent, co było niezwykle miłym gestem. Gospodarze zorganizowali nam także safari – widzieliśmy sporo dzikich zwierząt, choć lamparta niestety n ie udało się spotkać. Na penwo było to ciekawe doświadczenie. To cudowni, gościnni ludzie, dzięki którym pobyt był pełen ciepła i pozytywnej energii. Jeśli tylko będziemy mieć okazję, z przyjemnością wrócimy do Kottamba Yala Stay & Safari na dłużej.

Ben je op zoek naar een ideale uitvalsbasis om het Yala National Park te bezoeken, dan is deze Homestay een ideale plek! Uchith en zijn gezin verwelkomden ons met open armen, zorgden voor lekker eten en regelden met Nishan de beste safarigids die je kunt wensen. De kamers zijn ruim genoeg en zijn voorzien van 2 dubbele bedden die tegen elkaar geschoven zijn. Heel veel slaappek, dus ook ideaal voor gezinnen tot 4 personen.

The owners were really kind - we asked for packed breakfast since we were having a safari and they woke up at 5:30 to prepare it for us! Looking forward to staying more nights next time

We really enjoyed staying with Uchith and his family! They are really friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable, with AC and a fan. The bed is huge too! There is a nice hammock and chair outside, though we didn't use it much. We did two full-day safaris at Yala, and got to see a lot of beautiful wildlife!

The food was good, but could have been much spicier (probably was tailored for Western tourists)

Very welcoming family. Uchith, his wife, 2 kids and even their 2 dogs (Blacky and Lucky) were extremely friendly. They treated us like one of their own. It’s in the outskirts of town, which is private and quiet; yet only a short tuk tuk ride into town. The room is spacious with comfortable amenities. We had dinner at their home one night - cooked expertly by Uchith’s wife. Uchith sat with us and had a deep and meaningful conversation about their culture, way of life, history and the state of current affairs in Sri Lanka. He is extremely knowledgeable. He works very hard to please his guests. The breakfast was also amazing. They gave us a breakfast pack for the morning that we were doing the safari and a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast of hoppers, coconut rolls and vada the next morning. All the ingredients were from their own garden (coconut, banana, jackfruit etc). We even had Buffalo Milk Curd for dessert (a specialty). Uchith gave us a parting individualised souvenir as well. This was out best homesta in Sri Lanka by far! Would highly recommend Uchith’s place to prospective guests. Thank you for a wonderful homely stay.
