Mayan Bungalow Near Chichén

Very nice and clean, host is super friendly, you feel like you’re visiting a friend or a family member.

The hosts are exceptionally nice and friendly. Delicious breakfasts. We'd love to come back there next time!

Luis was an awesome and accommodating host. He was a wealth of knowledge about the area and modified the breakfast to meet my wife's gluten-free needs. Recommendations were on-point, and the property gave a secluded, jungle feeling.

Off street parking was not really available due to resurfacing project and steep break over angle to Luis' driveway. Hopefully, Luis will be able to modify his driveway approach to fix this one the street project is done.

Our stay at the Mayan Bungalow at Chichen Itza was the highlight of our trip to the Yucatán! Louis was an exceptional host and tour resource—making our visit the Yucatán the vacation of a lifetime! Our breakfasts were wonderful, fresh and delicious.The accommodations were very comfortable and gave us a taste of the local Mayan culture. Thank you Louis for your hospitality and sharing with my husband and I your love for the local culture, history and people!

Luis is a great host. Super friendly and the breakfast he made us was really good. The garden is magical, full of fruit trees. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

It was surprisingly loud, with a lot of dogs from the surrounding area barking at night and roosters in the morning.

Luis is an amazing host, friendly, talkative and willing to give you the best tips to visit the surroundings. He prepared an amazing breakfast for us with fresh fruit, juice, bread, coffee and Mayan style eggs. The location is ideal to reach Chichen Itza and Valladolid.

The bungalow is cozy but in the middle of a village, so expect something rustic (but real and local!).

Luis is the best host we’ve had. The bungalow is literally in the jungle and among the trees. Yes there were confused roosters crowing at night but there are earplugs provided if you want. We didn’t use them. The area is safe and so close to Chichen Itza you can be there in less than 15 minutes. We were leaving early in the morning on our second day and instead of the full breakfast spread, Luis was kind enough to make a box breakfast for us to take away. We travel a lot as worldschoolers and if we had to chose between a 5 star hotel and Mayan bungalow we’d say go with Luis because he is just that great. Also gave recommendations in the area which we took and so glad we did. There is a LOT to see in the area if there is time after visiting the world wonder!

We should have stayed longer. I’d really like to go back and use this place as a base for exploring more of the area!

Luis, the host above all! Luis was warm and welcoming, what we needed after a long day of travel from the US. Luis cooked us a delicious breakfast served outside in his peaceful garden. We enjoyed the room and location but for those that need modern accommodations this is not the place for you. But we loved it!

Luis speaks fluent English, is most helpful and interesting to chat with, a real pleasure to stay there. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent .

The room was rustic but it is part of the charm of a memorable stay in a rural environment
