If you like a neighborhood that feels like any international city (not especially Mexican) and living in a place with strict security, this is for you! The neighborhood is full of restaurants and stores, and public transportation -- the Metrobús on Insurgentes -- is a few minutes' walk away. If you have kids, there's a playground in the center of the complex that I think you're allowed to use (ask the owner). The view from my room on the 13th floor, with windows almost floor to ceiling, was spectacular. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was so strong and hot that it would be illegal in the US. 😉 The only noise I heard was guests in the other room walking in and out, usually late in the evening. The fair-sized kitchen was adequate. (I would have given less than 9 stars due to a couple of problems, but the owner was so helpful and the place was so great that I would give more than 10 stars for that if I could.)

Please read my good comments... there are lots of them! First, know that the address I saw on booking.com, Dakota 95, applies to a huge complex that occupies a whole city block. The entrance I used was on another street. So my Uber dropped me off in the wrong place and I ended up walking five minutes with my suitcases, exchanging a flurry of messages with the owner on WhatsApp. Security staff only spoke Spanish, which was a roadblock on my first visit... the owner guided me over WhatsApp, but be prepared! Also, IMPORTANT: Security will ask for a picture ID that they can keep on file. Of course you can't give them your passport, so bring a driver's license or maybe something else that you won't need while you're there... I'm sure the owner can advise you. The staff member at the security window where I checked in was in a hurry, wouldn't speak Spanish more slowly, and generally made me feel apprehensive about the whole thing. THE GOOD NEWS: Once I met the owner and asked him to show me around, finding my way and going through security was smooth and easy! I was also disappointed by the kitchen. It's large enough; has a stove, refrigerator, and microwave; but the rest was skimpy. I was in a place with a big grocery store nearby where I could buy lots of fresh ingredients, so I was disappointed that there were no microwavable dishes except some small plastic bowls -- and not much else for cooking unless I wanted to use the stove for everything. One last note: The private bath had a typical Mexican setup with tile shower and floor that get wet and you can slip on (and the shower is so strong that it can spray over the top of the sliding glass door!), so bring bath shoes or maybe use a towel as a bath mat.
