"A wonderful stay near Timaru."

We were met by the host on arrival and shown to a delightful room. We then used the swimming pool before taking the hosts advice on a super restaurant for dinner. After a good night's sleep we had a lovely breakfast. We stayed for an extra day because we enjoyed it so much.

Nothing at all. It was special.

"Would be wonderful without the road noise"

Friendly Host, great breakfast

The property is very close to Highway 1 and unfortunately the period windows do not seal well so there is significant road noise during the night. I think a stating a sea view is optimistic.

"Lovely spot with country manor feel"

Our host was very engaging and helpful. The room was beautiful and our breakfast, including eggs, was excellent. The location was just out of town, was quiet and suited us. Highly recommended.

Shower was elevated with steps up to it but worked fine.

Would highly recommend Kingsdown Manor. Excellent accommodation and breakfast and Mel was a first class host. If in Timaru again this would be our first choice accommodation

"A delightful friendly stay."

A beautiful old building 5 mins out of town in a rural setting. We drove in to town for dinner so need a car. Perfect for our overnight stay. The room was luxurious and very comfortable. Breakfast in the dining room is provided which was lovely. Mel is the perfect host and makes it so homely.

Everything. It was just stunning. Mel was super lovely and welcoming and went out of her way to make our stay special. Great breakfast too. Oohh and comfy beds!
