We stayed in the Deluxe Suite with Sea View and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bed was firm, which is how we like it. A very well thought out place right down to a hair straightener next to the hairdryer in the bathroom cupboard! Along with a lint remover in the wardrobe next to the iron. Decor was beautifully done. The outdoor setting and chapel would be an absolutely perfect place to have a wedding for a couple who want to have something a little more personal. Mel is a gem. Nothing was too much trouble. Mel even offered to drop us in town to watch the ABs! Thanks for the recommendations of attractions and things to do! Breakfast was a real bonus with a great variety to start the day off right. Greg and Mel have worked extremely hard to create such a stunning Manor. Thanks once again. Garth and Anita

Once again a fabulous stay at Kingsdown Manor. Mel is a fantastic host, and the manor has recently been renovated to a high standard. A lovely convenient location, and beautiful setting. Great for relaxing or laying over during business travels. I will certainly book to stay again when travelling through Timaru.

Overall great experience. The room I stayed in didn't have fixed heating installed. However, Mel ensured a plugin heater was setup and the room temperature was perfect. The bathroom was a bit colder due to only a small heater on the wall, and as the property has been nearly renovated, there are still blinds to be installed on the bathroom windows. However, it faces bushes and is very private, so it wasn't too much of a concern.

Clean, comfortable, delicious breakfast. Loved the decor and intricate details. The tower is a unique feature which adds to the property’s charm.
