Nothing to dislike

We liked how close it was to the attraction... the top of the mountain.

Let me preface this with we live in Portugal and know what to expect in our country when traveling. We don't have high expectations of luxury. We knew this property was not a 10. To start with there was not a lot of information about where to park. A map of where the facility is located would be helpful. To say, "Park over by the church," is not acceptable. Furthermore, everyone is coming by car. I don't know how else you'd stay here. The roads are very narrow and the locals don't seem appreciative that you're driving through their streets. Parking here is a problem. Just know you will be dragging your luggage up the hill. Secondly, upon our arrival, we were called and asked for payment from the owner. Not a "welcomee to our B&B" just where is your payment. Our calls kept going to his voicemail and we were trying to get to our room. We luckily ran into the house cleaner and she figured out where our key might be. We finally MBWay'd the funds to the owner and was given our key. We unloaded our luggage and went for a walk to find a restaurant to eat dinner. By the time we got down the hill, the owner was calling me back because the next guest couldn't get into his room and, "would I return to the room so that he could get into the downstairs apartment." I obliged and walked back to the room. This new guest must've thought I was the "help" because he was rude to me and wouldn't get out of my as I tried to leave. Next, if you are coming on Monday you will not find a restaurant open. NOT ONE! You will have to go to the next town about 10Km away with one restaurant to choose from. It would've been helpful to know this ahead of time since my has diabetes and needs to eat at certain times. Oh, and this is not a B&B... just a Bed, no breakfast! There was construction happening across the path from our entrance and we had to fight with dirt being thrown from a truck onto the sidewalk.

Tolle Lage, mit niedlichen Balkon und fantastischer Aussicht. Wir hatten mit Frühstück gebucht. Haben das Frühstück auf unser Zimmer bekommen und konnten so auf unseren Balkon die Aussicht genießen. Es war alles Super, absolut empfehlenswert.

Location is pretty amazing really - right in the middle of probably the most charming town I have ever seen. The place is adorable, though quite cozy. We only very briefly interacted with the owners when we arrived, but they were very friendly and welcoming.

Our particular room was in basement level and, since the town is halfway embedded in granite, that particular room would benefit from a dehumidifier. My friend’s allergies were not psyched, but we slept well enough and the enchantment of the surroundings was well worth it. :)
