It is in a nice rural setting with good views over farmland. Very quiet. The building is lovely and has nice wood features. The people running it are the best that I have come across during my travels in Japan. They speak excellent English are very thoughtful and serve up excellent food.

It’s not close to town so be prepared for that. Also if you like an ensuite then this is not the place for you as the facilities are shared. Unfortunately my mattress was not comfortable, I could feel the springs. This surprised me as it was the only fly in the ointment. I didn’t have the heart to mention it to the owner.

We had our best stay on Hokkaido here. The atmosphere is lovely and staff is super nice. Breakfast and dinner were great as well.
