Heavens Seven

In our opinion the sweetest place to stay in Ella! The family is simply lovely and showed us great Sri Lankan hospitality. When we arrived sick from Hatton the owner and his family took care of us, drove us to the doctor and bought fresh king coconuts from the market just for us! When we recovered the owner was very helpful giving us tips and advises on what to see and how to get there with lovely hand-drawn maps. The view from the room is breathtaking with one of the most beautiful sunrises I’ve ever seen in Sri Lanka. The accommodation was perfect, the location is great and the breakfast is amazing with fruits pancakes coconut rotti and fruit juices. You can also rent a scooter just downstairs from Paraiso Guest House. Of course we highly recommend this stay!!

Quiet place and accommodation. With mountain views. The owner was very nice and helped us with everything we needed. A big advantage of this accommodation is that it is a short distance from the railway tracks, which can be used to go on trips and to the city of Ella. We are very happy that we chose this accommodation in Ella. Here we found a cozy and peaceful background for our trips in this area.

We liked the view of our room and the hospitality of the local guest family. The place overlooks a jungle, a waterfall, and a train. We woke up to the whistling of birds and you can always spot squirrels, racoons, and other type of animals and birds. The place is 15 mins walking distance from Ella center ( but you need to cater for walking a strong elevation ) You can always order a tuktuk or ride your own car if you have any. The breakfast was served on the lower terrace of the family and was very good and very local, you can customized as much as you need. Also by booking thsi room, you are supporting an adorable local family.

There's nothing we didn't like in this room, although there was a long staircase to climb to arrive to our rooms, the host helped us carry the bags. Another thing to take into consideration that there is no AC, so you should tolerate some insects like anywhere else in sri lanka, but be reliefed because the bed is equipped with a mosquito net.

The location of the facility is unique, within walking distance to the center, and from the balcony there is a wonderful view. The owner of the facility was very nice and helpful. He had hand-drawn maps of attractions nearby and carefully explained how to get where, which helped us a lot. Tasty breakfasts prepared at the agreed time. The room was well-kept and clean. The bed was large and comfortable. There is a mosquito net and a fan in the room. There is a shower with hot water in the bathroom. I recommend.

I do think the view could do with a bit of work and is slightly outdated but still great Eggs with breakfast

Perfect spot in Ella, away from the centre with an amazing views. The food was great and the owner was very friendly and helpful - a short walk to the centre via the train track (recommend Matey Hut Ella for food)

Such a wonderful experience. The room is nice and clean and offers a stunning view over the mountains including Ella rock and The Valley. The family is extremely helpful, gave us nice recommendations for a hike and provided delicious breakfast. One of the best experiences we had in Sri Lanka! Totally recommend.
