40 Winks

This was one of the loveliest bnb’s we stayed at on our trip to the north Island. We enjoyed our home made stewed rhubarb with some yoghurt and muesli while enjoying it on the deck outside the room. It was a lovely bed and comfy cozy through the night! The owner was accomodating for us and had a blind fixed just after we arrived which we weren’t too fussed about but nice to be taken care of. Thank you so much for our stay, the view of the garden was nice to wake up to and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay! ☺️

A little squishy with our luggage but I can’t fault anything else!

I have stayed here a few times now for work and it is perfect. Nice room, bed and bathroom. Very yum breakfast.

Great location, very relaxing, great shower

There was no yoghurt or fruit for breakfast as stated in the advert

If you want to escape the city life this is the place to be so peaceful, you feel like you’re sleeping on cloud 9 the beds comfortable you feel at home in your own room and can relax without being disturbed.

Abit small but enjoyed our stay.

The cabin is located at the backyard with a great view, its equipped with hammock and garden set which makes relaxing perfect. Inside the cabin is very clean and well furnished. It is very comfortable and has everything we need. The host Fiona has an excellent rapport and made us feel welcomed.

Nothing I can think of. Everything is perfect as it is. Will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

everything was great, just the room was extremely cold at night

Bed was comfortable. Shower was lovely and hot. Owners left the heater on for us so the room was lovely and warm. The scenery that we awoke to was beautiful. the positioning of the cottage is private and offers a peaceful sleep and breakfast.

We arrived on a dark wet night. The lighting in the car park was insufficient, and other than the automated light at the door of the residence, there was no lighting on the path to the accommodation. The space was good, but felt damp but the area had experienced lots of rain before and on the day we arrived, which could explain the dampness. The bed linen was crumpled on one side as if slept in and hadn't been changed and smelled. The towels were damp . We found the space very compact for two international travellers with 2 full size cases, we had to put the breakfast bar stools on the bench so that we could put our suitcases under the bench so we could move around the room. A bench of some description in the bathroom to rest toiletries on would have been welcomed as we had to put our toiletries on the floor or on the toilet.

The location and setting was perfect. I travelled alone and worked during the day and really the two most important things for me were a comfy bed and a decent shower. Both of these were first class

For my purposes there wasn't anything to dislike. However two people that didnt go out much would have been cramped. For the money the tv needed to have netflix etc and be a little bigger and the fridge leaked over the floor, but it might have been defrosting. I noticed it was delaminating the kitchen bench supports. It didnt worry me, Fiona was a great hostess, really helpful and pleasant and there was nothing more I could have wished for.
