Nice comfortable property and facilities. Very friendly and attentive service. Jackie and Daniel are a great couple. Will recommend.

Jackie was so bubbly and treated us like royality from the moment we arrived. Daniel cooked a lovely breakfast. The bed was so comfortable everything was excellent we defininetly will be back fully recommend this BnB

Isolated in remote place with no restaurants for dinner nearby. No reason to stay more than a night.

The hosts were vibrant, lively and super friendly We had an excellent dinner and invited our friends . Food was great and we all had a wonderful time helped in part by our hosts who bent over backwards to help make the night a special occasion.

The spacious rooms were nicely decorated and we had a large lounge with veranda as a shared space. Dinner was prepared by the house who had contacted us in advance as there is no restaurant in the area. We were given several menu options to choose from and it was all very nice. The whole house has been recently renovated by its new owners and it has a very nice feel. The owners are very welcoming and friendly, easy to have a conversation with.

Conveniently located next to The Kauri Museum, Matakohe House is a comfortable place to stay. Jackie and Daniel are friendly and helpful. We had 3 different meal options which were all good.

No downsides.

Quiet- clean and reasonably priced. Very close to Kauri museum which was excellent.

Garden could have been more colourful.
