Ranfurly Cottage

So cozy and warm, really feels like home. Very well maintained and clean.

Very friendly hosts made us all feel very welcome. Very clean and homely feel to the accommodation. Will definitely book again if back for next years Mardi Gras

Quaint cottage. Very comfy shared lounge and dining space. Generous continental breakfast provided with fruit. Very friendly, welcoming hosts. You will not be cold (heater works well)!

No key to room provided but key on inside of room attached to door. Tiny bathroom (but heated floor makes it cosy!). Be wary: step-up to shower could be difficult for less mobile folks. Parking a little cramped when two sets of guests and friends of hosts visiting. Not much to do in the area: Ohakune (10km away) has range of restaurants. Expensive compared to other places we stayed.

Alison and Ron are great hosts

Quiet location, large common area, laid out breakfast, comfortable bedroom. We enjoyed our stay with Ron and Alison, who were very hospitable. There are walks in the area that are very nice in addition to the crossing, which we did not do. Good places to eat in Ohakune.

Nice room in a great apartment. Well located near the national park. Very friendly owners. I really enjoyed the interesting conversations with them.

Nothing

The property is exceptional. It’s an annex off the renter’s home. The guest has one room with an ensuite bathroom and access to a sitting area, simplified dining area, an excellent continental breakfast and access to a washer/dryer. And Allison and Ron, our hosts, are charming and welcoming.
