"Cozy place with suboptimal location"

Liked how close it is to the sea and the coziness of the lobby area and rooms. The dog of the owner is also cute and the breakfast boxes were tasty.

Overall the location is not the best in my opinion as it's relatively far to the city center / train station and if you don't have a car you need to rely on public transport or taxis. If you plan a visit to Taroko the location could be better. Also the rooms looks cozy but lack some furniture (e.g. good seating) and the bed is quite small for two people.

"Lovely seaside stay in a quiet part of Hualien"

The host at Angel Inn was fantastic, and they really were very thoughtful. Breakfast is included, and they provided an array of local snacks, teas, etc. As I was leaving, the host gave me another bag of snacks for the road. They also have helpful recommendations of things to eat and places to see in the area. My room was spacious and had a lovely balcony overlooking the sea.

The bathroom was a little worn out and could use an update, I think.
