Zuzanu house

Nous avons séjourné 2 semaines au Zuzanu House et je ne peux que recommander fortement si vous recherchez de l'authenticité loin des gros complexes ! Nous avons totalement déconnecté ! Situé à moins de 5 minutes à pied du bord de mer et du centre du village, Zuzanu House est localisé idéalement. Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux et très copieux (fruits frais, jus/smoothies frais, pain, crêpes/pancakes, oeufs, confiture fait maison, gâteaux, etc.) Le logement que nous avions réservé au 1er étage avec une immense terrasse était parfait : grand lit avec moustiquaire, grande salle de bain, superbe terrasse avec transat, tables et chaises. Idéal ! Et que dire de Zuzana, de sa disponibilité, de sa gentillesse, de nos échanges, de ses conseils pour trouver des plages calmes et magnifiques, de son aide pour organiser des excursions. Une femme exceptionnelle ! Sans oublier aussi Barak et sa gestion des Touk Touk, de son aide cuisinier, des femmes de ménages; Nous recommandons à 200% et si nous revenons à Nungwi, c'est de nouveau au Zuzanu House que nous poserons nos valises. Zuzanu House is an amazing place to stay in Zanzibar. Staff is very welcoming, rooms are perfectly clean, comfortable ans spacious. The pool is a great plus, and Zuzana the owner made sure we had everything we need on a daily basis.

The owner is the most kind person ever. She helped us with a lot of things! The breakfast is awesome!

Struttura semplice ma molto pulita, curata nei dettagli e gestita magnificamente dalla proprietaria Suzanne. La camera non è molto grande ma ha tutto il necessario, quali mini frigo, bollitore, cassetta di sicurezza, condizionatore, ventilatore a pala, zanzariere finestre e letto, piccolo armadio, ecc. Il letto e i cuscini sono molto comodi, oltre che molti puliti. Il bagno è spazioso e ha tutto l'occorrente, compreso phon a parete. L'acqua calda è fornita da un boiler ma siamo sempre riusciti a fare la doccia in 2 senza problemi. La colazione è eccezionale. Prodotti freschi ogni mattina, sia dolci sia salati, frutta e succhi buonissimi, con molte cose preparate al momento dalla proprietaria e dal suo staff (es: pancakes, omelette, frittate, ecc. Anche la marmellata è fatta in casa ed è eccezionale!). Il vero valore aggiunto della struttura è Suzanne, la proprietaria slovacca, che cura nei minimi dettagli sia la colazione sia il resto della struttura. Inoltre supporta e fornisce consigli disinteressati ai propri clienti su ristoranti, gite, ecc. Abbiamo usato anche il servizio taxi, che ci ha portati dall'aeroporto alla struttura, e il prezzo è stato onestissimo. Mi sento assolutamente di consigliare la struttura. Qualora dovessimo tornare a Nungwi, riprenoteremmo sicuramente qui.

La struttura si trova nella parte nord di Nungwi, quella un po' meno turistica. Da un lato è positivo, perché è "immersa" nella vita locale, ma l'altro lato della medaglia è che c'è molto sporco in giro, la spazzatura viene bruciata, ecc. Ad onore del vero, la colpa è anche di chi governa perché non esiste né il servizio di ritiro della spazzatura né isole ecologiche dove i locali possano buttare i propri rifiuti. Ma è anche nella cultura buttare la spazzatura per strada, lo so vede fare sia ai bambini sia ai loro genitori.. La strada dall'hotel alla spiaggia è di 1 minuto a piedi, ma viene la desolazione a vedere lo sporco intorno in quello che potrebbe essere un paradiso.

The road isn’t great full of pot holes and no street lighting difficult to walk in the evenings.

Super fijn verblijf. Ontbijt was geweldig. We hadden een kamer op de bovenste verdieping en die was echt heel ruim. De douche, de douchedruk was heeeel fijn. Nergens in Zanzibar en Tanzania zo'n goede douche gehad, ook niet in veel duurdere verblijven. Omdat rond 19 uur het licht uitvalt voor een paar minuten op het eiland, heeft Zuzana gezorgd voor oplaadbare lichten. Verlichten meer dan prima en zijn gezellig. Zuzana houdt goed rekening met allergieën en geeft voldoende tips!

Viel niet echt tegen, maar wetende dat onze landgenoten lang zijn, voor ons was het bed net goed, maar als mijn man langer was geweest zou het bed aan de korte kant zijn. (Hij is 185cm)

Heerlijk ontbijt met iedere morgen een spaanse omelet en vers fruit, vriendelijk personeel, we hebben genoten.

Zuzanu house was perfect!! Breakfast was delicious, very filling and cooked to order!!! Always fresh juice each morning and they even made me hot homemade ginger tea since I was under the weather! The rooms were spacious and very clean! Zuzana and her colleagues were very warm, hospitable and accommodating!! I felt very secure being a solo traveler!
