Historic Skagway Inn

Biggest downside was no baths in rooms. Everything else was terrific, food, service, location. Would I stay there again? I’d look for a place with room with bath.

Great team - really friendly and helpful. Comfortable room, great breakfast. Walking distance to all sites and transport in Skagway.

The location was great, the included breakfast was good, the restaurant staff was very friendly and accomodating. We had dinner at Olivia's, the attached restaurant, and really enjoyed the meal. Real "garden to table" food. The outdoor space is pleasant, with raised flower beds. The place was clean and the bathrobes to get to the shared bath down the hall were appreciated.

The front desk staff was not what I would call warm and welcoming. After 2 requests and a confirmation of a Ferry dock pick up in the days and weeks leading up to our trip, we were not met at the dock. Emails and phone calls when we arrived, went unanswered, so we decided to walk the 3/4 of a mile. When we mentioned it on check in, there was no apology, in fact she left us standing at the desk while she called to see where the driver (her husband) was, delaying our check in. The ride back to the dock was fine. When I booked a "Historic Inn" with a shared bath, I don't expect luxury or A/C, but the weather was warm and the room (Grace) was stuffy. A small fan would have done the trick. Especially since the window is the kind that is hinged at the top and bottom opens out, which doesn't allow as much circulation

Lovely inn tastefully decorated. The bed was super comfortable. The shared bathrooms were not an issue as it was quiet. Breakfasts were delicious. The staff was friendly and full of information about their special place in Alaska. I highly recommend this inn.

We thought the decor very good....laughed at the red light in our bedroom. The breakfast was good although we preferred it on our first morning

We didn't like sharing the shower room but we did know this when we booked...so that is personal and no reflection on the establishment

Karl and his family and all the staff were wonderful. Love the raised beds full of greens for the restaurant.
