The breakfast was very good. The cook made very excellent meals.

Small period style family run hotel with a distinctly personal feel. Well located at the top of Broadway and a nice bar/bistro on site. Good breakfast. Staff were excellent - the courtesy minibus to the ferry port at 4am was above and beyond but was much appreciated.

Nothing to dislike, it was pretty much as expected.

Location. Historical vibe. Restaurant.

Only had sink/toilet in room. But I knew that when I booked.

The staff were wonderful, the room cozy and decorative, and the breakfast delicious. The hotel is filled with history and really takes you back to the Gold Rush days

The French toast breakfast with sausages was really good!

We enjoyed our gourmet breakfast.

Breakfast was tasty and restaurant was pleasant, good service, somewhat limited menu but quality.

Front desk not staffed, they are just too busy doing cooking shows and other things to deal with guests, phone calls go to voicemail, it's not professional. Also didn't like no TV anywhere, shared bathroom, and noise of hallway was like it's in my room. I don't usually stay in B&B style hotels and will avoid in the future, maybe just my personal preference.

The hotel is very quaint and keeps to the historic part of the hotel. The décor was charming. The information about the hotel and the names of the rooms was interesting. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully plated. The garden is beautiful. I was a little unsure about the shared bathroom but it turned out okay.

The walls and thin and because it is an old building the floors are squeaky so I heard every movement the other guest made and I am sure they heard me walking around as well. The water in the shower was pretty cold.
