Hale Hualalai

All was as advertised.

B&B seemed set up for one or two night stays. We stayed for a week and had to provide our own plates, silverware, cutlery for eating & preparing meals. Refrigerator was motel-room size, not meant to hold a week’s worth of groceries.

I loved the location for the beautiful views and being surrounded by nature! It was a great change in environment since I’ve been around lots of city noise in my prior stay. Not only a great location for the views but for the nice cool temperatures at night, which made for a comfortable nights rest.

We had a great stay. The room was spacious and comfy. Ricky was really nice and helpful about what to do on the island. Best breakfast we've ever had.

Hale Hualalai was everything we could have hoped for and more. Ricky (and his wife) were excellent hosts, providing a great location and view overlooking Kailua Kona, not to mention an incredible farm to table style breakfast each day. Ricky was more than accommodating, shared his knowledge freely, and even offered support while we were on the Big Island even after we left the property.

We had the pleasure of meeting Ricky and his family. Ricky and Irina are born hosts, with the right touch of humor. Breakfast was a real treat every day. Ricky is a very good chef. We were also able to benefit from the best insider tips. This enabled us to explore Kona perfectly. Our time with Ricky was great. Should we return to Kona, we will definitely book the Hale Hualalai and maybe have a drum session with Ricky :)

Our stay at Hale Hualalai was truly magical! It is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Ricky is such a great host and the breakfast is out of this world!
