Buffalo Harmony House

The breakfast was amazing! Very fresh ingredients and well put together. We will talk about for years to come! Such an enjoyable experience. We loved it.

The B&B itself was excellent! Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, attentive friendly hosts, and superb four course breakfast each day. The only drawback was the neighborhood. It is a short walk to many restaurants but there were a lot of vagrants along the way and we did not feel safe. The city of Buffalo can do a better job of supporting such wonderful establishments.

The 3 course breakfast is spectacular. Truly. Start with something baked (an apple muffin, a bacon/cheese thingy); then a salad of fruit exquisitely plated, or a unique porridge; then an amazing blend of fruits & veggies as the juice, followed by a breakfast plate (choose sweet or savory) that may be eggs with bacon on home made bread with tomatoes, avocado, and bacon, or pumpkin waffles. The place itself was re-created by its owners and their photos and stories and love for it emanate throughout.

The place is a redux of a very old mansion that was made into a rooming house and faced decades of abuse and neglect. Then it met Holly & Daniel, and it has been utterly redone from the ground up , decorated in keeping with its original time, and they added all the modern amenities we love. The sole negative is that the beds were a bit too soft for us, but, add a downstairs lounge with a huge TV, a bar, billiards, dart board, and games...plus endearing and delightful proprietors and chef, and we totally loved it all.

If you like music, the Harmony House is a must. If you like Victorian era decor, it's a must. If you like both, well, you get the idea. Daniel is a friendly, knowledgeable, professional, welcoming host. The decor and breakfast is amazing. A one-block walk to Kleinhans and some great restaurants.

The staff was Amazing!

The Breakfast was amazing. I usually hate eggs but the quiche they made was expellant. And the other courses felt fresh and healthy. The staff were all profession al friendly. The aesthetic of the home was amazing. And the room was lovely if a little small.

The room was a tad smaller and the bed inside was a little more stylized then I like. But luckily it was still more comfortable then the average bed in a hotel.
