The location really can't be beat: right behind the Amir Temur Mausoleum Gur-i Amir Сomplex, and there are signs that guide to practically right to the door. The area felt safe both during the day and at night, and it's about 10-20 minutes' walk (depending on your walking speed) from the Registan Complex. The family was friendly and helpful, and everything at the accommodation was as described. The breakfast was bread, cheese, sausage, butter, tea or coffee, jam, biscuits, and on different days, I was offered kasha (porridge) or eggs. Checking in and out was simple (though like everywhere in Uzbekistan, passport with entry stamps was needed). Wifi was reliable and available on check-in, and there are a few shops close by that sell water. It was perfect for my two-day stay!

I checked in 5 Dec and checked out 7 Dec. All days i didn't get hot water so no bath all three days. No heater in room, You can't access kitchen that's private but while booking it's show common kitchen.

I liked the kitchen, where everybody could make tea and a fridge was also available. Breakfast was good. There was a roof to dry washing. The place is big and very quiet at night. Small shop on the road to buy drinks or snacks. Very close to Amir Temur Mausoleum. 15 min walking to Registan Sq. Young women do speak English to people without Russian knowledge. Easy to find.

They wanted to give me a room without a window on the ground floor. I was very unhappy, because I booked for 5 nights. Finally, they changed for a twin room with a window -but was broken and did not close...everybody could see me from the stairs- so had to have a curtain on- day and night. The room was very small, which was ok for me, but 2 people would be uncomfortable. Water pressure in the shower very week. It was cold or very hot...problem to wash my hair.The check-in procedure took 1 hour. The old man in reception had a problem managing everything. Wi-fi did not work all 5 days and is not secured... My sim card did help with connection, otherwise is no internet there.

Location was excellent, the staff was kind, but the rooms are basic with no wardrobe or lamps, no extra blanket or pillow. Many things on the stairs or in the yard can be fixed without money, just a little care. Had ladder parked in the middle of the stairs to the room, unsightly and careless. An ok stay with kind people
