KHIVA ABDULLA Guest House

We spent a wonderful 2 days at Abdulla and his kind family. The location is perfect just in the heart of the Itchan Kala, all historical sights can be easily reached in a 1-5 minutes of walk. The room is very cozy and clean and corresponds to the description and photos of the accomodation. The family is very kind and helpful. The traditional uzbekh breakfast was amazing and delicious. Thank you for making us feel like home.

Everything was perfect.

The property is inside itchan kala so the location is very convenient and easy to reach. The facade of the property is of a traditional home, which is very appealing. The room was spotless and warm and we had 3 single beds. The breakfast served to us in the morning was amazing and very delicious. The family owning the guesthouse helped us with change for the taxi, helped book the taxi the morning we left and even came to see us off, which was very warm of them. My daughter loved playing with the two little kids on the property. This has been the one property we stayed at in Uzbekistan which has been very prompt in replying to messages on whatsapp and booking.com which I feel is essential for peace of mind when travelling with family. They accommodated our request to stay on the ground floor so my mum didn't have to climb stairs. We loved the place and would surely recommend and come again.

It would have been helpful to have a water dispenser for the guests so the owner family doesn't have to be bothered with it again and again, but to be honest, the place had no negatives.

Small but friendly guest house. Very good value for money. Lovely traditional breakfast.

We had a very good time. Room is clean, inside the walled city with a very good breakfast. The family was great and allowed us to check in earlier and check out late. Also, we had a day tour to the desert organized by the family and it was very nice.

When we arrived, our room had been double booked - they even tried to gaslight us into thinking maybe we booked somewhere else with the same name, although the pictures were clearly from that reception and house. Then they admitted someone they gave someone else our room and tried to insist that I cancel my booking reservation and 'everything would be fine' - cancelation was not refundable so I was risking having to pay a full amount for a place I wouldnt even stay in, just so they dont pay the commission to booking. It was already rather late, and they offered us to put us into another accommodation for the same price, which we agreed to (big mistake, avoid their recommendations even if they have decent scores on booking). We ended up staying in a guesthouse near the Old Terassa restaurant - that was the most horrible stay in our 20 nights of Central Asia. Horrible experience, do yourself a favour and avoid the complications. I submitted a complaint to Booking a week ago and still no answer.

Excellent breakfast, fast internet, very clean room. Comfortable place with nice owners. He drove me from Khiva to Bukhara with a smile on his face for a good price.

laundry is 3$ for 1kg, the most expensive in uzbekistan. We asked to clean the room and change the towels but they didn't.
