Secluded, exactly what we needed after the buzz of HCMC. Extremely helpful staff, beautiful arrangement under the coconut trees, highly recommended for a reason.

"Authentic stay for peace and relaxation with amazing host! Definitely off the beaten track"

9.0

Amazing place to stay for some peace and true village lifestyle! Such a wonderful, friendly and helpful host. The room is simple, very clean with the essentials and good airconditioning. Ensuite has a semi-open roof (sheltered but opening between walls and roof meaning it's outdoor temperature). So many great outdoor spots to relax in the shade, with plenty of hammocks! Free bicycles to use during the stay making it easy to get around the village and explore the nearby ferry crossing and island. Free water provided and tasty varied breakfast. We had dinner here one night also which was really delicious - they have a whole vegetarian menu in addition to usual menu. We found one very good vegetarian restaurant for Pho. Great local bike tour done by the owner himself for 500Kvnd/person visiting local coconut factory, cacao farm with tasting of drink and sweets, traditional coconut house with toasted rice paper and coconut handmade crafts to buy (if desired and very very cheap). A must do! We really liked the focus on including the local people and a way of helping them financially. The host was really accommodating and helped us with recommendations and travel both to and from the home. Nothing was too much hassle!

Some food quite expensive compared to elsewhere in Vietnam, and limited options in the small village (in general but especially for veggies). My partner left his wallet in a hammock overnight (silly!) and this was returned to us in the morning but with 500k missing. However the host was extremely apologetic on behalf of staff and took this off our bill immediately. Despite this we would really recommend staying here to get a true reflection of life here and be well looked after by the host!

"Very enjoyable retreat! Highly recommended!"

10.0

The hotel is situated in a very peaceful und relaxing rural area, with little farms in the neighborhood.  The building and especially the terraces and outdoor lounges are carefully decorated with lots of love for tradition and local culture.  The host is very friendly and helpful and makes you feel at hone immediately. Food was great, very recommended! You can borrow bikes from the neighbors to explore a nearby island where a ferry takes you across the river.

"Enjoyable stay, but bed not very comfortable"

7.0

Thinh is a good host and his grandmother makes great food. The dining area is very tastefully decorated. As I was there in the build up to Tet, there were many plants and flowers. The location is peaceful, I heard chickens and goats, but no karaoke.

The room is simple and would benefit from having a wardrobe. The bed definitely needs a new mattress. It would be helpful if motorbike hire was available locally, the nearest is in Ben Tre.

"Excellent stay with best food of Mekong"

10.0

Excellent menu and food! I loved the quiet location deep in Palm forest. It only a few blocks from town. The decor of the whole place was so inviting to relax, cost chairs to read my book. The tour was special too. Not like package tour but visiting local people at cacao farm, a typical house where they made me a toasted rice paper, canoe in narrow canal to see fish traps. Real village life. Thing is a super host.

Having to leave and never eat the food again!

Maison du Pays is one of the best homestays in the Mekong delta area, they also have great food and overall it has a very good value for money, in fact people go there from Ho Chi Min just to stay for one night but mainly to sample their food which as i said is top quality.

"Exceptional 5-star service, a fluent English-speaking owner, delicious cuisine cooked by Grandma."

10.0

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful homestay for three days, and I must say, it was an excellent experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with 5-star service that made me feel right at home. The owner, who spoke impeccable English, went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. Every meal was a culinary delight, freshly prepared by the owner's grandmother. I savored authentic local Vietnamese cuisine that was bursting with flavors and made with love. It was a true treat to taste the real essence of the region's dishes. Beyond the exceptional service and delicious food, what truly stood out was the opportunity to immerse myself in Vietnamese culture. The homestay's countryside setting provided a unique window into the daily lives of the locals. From exploring the surroundings to engaging with the community, it was an enriching experience that allowed me to connect with the heart of Vietnam. In short, this homestay offered a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and cultural immersion. If you're looking for an authentic and memorable way to explore the Vietnamese countryside, I wholeheartedly recommend this exceptional homestay.

I enjoyed my stay. Nothing to add. I thought the homestay was great and would stay there again. I would recommend to anyone wishing to experience really Vietnamese life and cooking. 10 out of 10 from me.
