The Mandarin is a magical place. The poetry of the buildings and the garden is unique. We never stayed in anything similar before. It is like travelling back in time. Truly enchanted atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and helpful, good knowledge of english too. You can ask for dinner in advance, the food is home made, original vietnamese and very good. They rarely have western guests at the Mandarin so you can really dip into true vietnamese hospitality and surroundings.

One has to bear in mind that the Mandarin caters mainly for vietnamese guests. Therefore, whether the cleanliness of bath and room is sufficient is up to personal standart and individual tolerance...

The homestay was in gud location, not far from the centre. This place was in industrial oriental mixed traditional style, really liked this one. Suitable for those who want a quiet place immersed in nature. Nice host. Available for motorbike rental.
