Mandarin Homestay Hue

We felt like royalty when we entered the villa. The setting is amazing, beautiful and gives you a true feeling of the Imperial City. The Citadel and pagoda are easily walkable along the pleasant riverside pathway. We appreciated being away from the busy city centre, but it is an easy, quick taxi ride should you wish to go there. The staff were amazing - so helpful and kind. The food was wonderful. We were so sad to leave!

Be aware that the site is a working, popular cafe. We could hear the sounds of Christmas songs and tourists having their photos taken just outside our windows. We thought it was really amusing, but I can imagine some visitors might not like that.

I loved the serenity and peacefulness of this beautiful family owned place. The gardens are magical, and my son loved the koi fish. The room where we stayed had all sorts of historical artifacts and decorations, which had me feeling like I traveled back into an old era. The bed was comfy, the air con strong, the day bed good for relaxing, and the food made at Mandarin was delicious. The staff very attentive. Will definitely stay again when in Hue. The location is about 10mins out of the busy area by scooter and a 10-minute river walk to Thien Mu pagoda.

The host is super responsive and helpful. Wouldn't have such a wonderful trip in Hue if it wasn't assisted by the host. The place is very close to the Nha Vuon garden house and Thien Mu pagoda.

It’s was quite noise. So many different ppl coming for making photos, they laughing, screaming and honestly it’s only one serious minus.
