The welcome and attention to detail were perfect. All was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was tasty and served promptly. The property is right in the heart of Rye so very easy to walk everywhere. Our hosts were very friendly and hospitable.

We were disappointed not to be in the room I thought I had booked via Booking.com so we had a small double bed instead of a king-size bed. This meant we didn't sleep well, though the bed itself was comfortable, just small. Our room looked out onto a main street so it was only quiet between about 1am and 6.30am. This also meant that while we were in the room we had to keep the bathroom blind shut and bedroom curtains closed, reducing natural light, as those on the other side of the street could see straight in. A daytime opaque blind in the bathroom would mean natural light could get in whilst still offering privacy. We arrived last out of the guests they had staying, so had no choice about what time we had breakfast, 8.30am. While we understood that breakfasts needed to be staggered, we were really in need of a special break with good nights' sleep and a more leisurely start to our days. Having said all that, I would definitely recommend No. 5 and we would stay again, but next time I would be sure we had booked the type of room we would find most restful.

The interiors were lovely. And the hosting and welcome really made me feel at home.

The town of Rye was smaller than I expected, but this accommodation was conveniently located about 3 minutes from the station and St. Mary's Church. It can be inconvenient to walk with a suitcase on a cobbled road, but this street doesn't have that problem. The owner, Jeremy, was very friendly and helpful without being overly familiar. The room and the whole place were clean and comfortable.

Considering that you will be staying in a historic building that is different from your everyday life, some inconvenience is understandable.

It was all fabulous .Delicious breakfast. Very comfy bed and lovely room and en-suite.

What wasn't not to like? Everything was perfect: the room, the bed, the nice host, the bathroom with the fantastic shower, the decorations in the room, which were very tasteful and last but not least the location. We would definitely come back here.

An exceptional property in a great location. We have found our new favourite place to stay. We booked the Superior room which is of an extremely high quality decor and furnishings. Our hosts Jeremy & Paul were very welcoming and helpful with restaurant tips. Breakfast was delicious and varied. We will be back!
