La Stanza

Location on the walls of the old part of Bari facing the sea. It is a cute, picturesque image.

The windowless room was not for us. We only stayed 1 night out of 5. It gave us a claustrophobic and insecurity feeling as you have to lock yourself in with 2 doors and 2 sets of keys, like in a prison cell. The host only accepts messages. He doesn't want to be called. I sent a message asking 2 extra pillow. I'm still waiting for the reply. Too many misleading informations. If you travel by car, Google map is taking you to the front door which is on a ZTL (resident only) area and you will get a ticket. The alternative is outside the walls, on the sea side of the street, if you are lucky to find a parking space. Wether it's free or not, in English language "ON Site" parking means within the compound of the property. NOT within 3 and a thousand+feet. You can make coffee but you wash the cups in the bathroom sink. No soap or towels to dry them. The refrigerator is actually a little cooler. No ice and no cold drinks. The assertion that there is a view is very misleading. Being a windowless room, the only seaview appears when you open the door and if you leave it open, hundreds of tourists walking on the pedestrian street can also view your bedroom. I'm not sure who is responsible of the "60+ facilities" list but I'm sure half of them are deceiving. It might be OK for a 1-2 nights for young people traveling with a backpack but not for adults traveling by car with extra luggage, especially if suffering from claustrophobia.

Very nice location by a square with easy access. Make sure you get dropped off at the right spot by taxi or you could walk far with bags. Great coffee machine and table/chairs to sit outside.

Maybe the bed ?

The location was fantastic - close to the water, walking distance to numerous sites and restaurants, and close to parking. The room decor was lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. Check in with a key-code was very straight forward and easy.

The air conditioning was a little on the weak side for my personal preference, but in line with a typical European hotel.

Was nice at a small cafe. Very fresh.

Had a lot of steps to climb from the nearest road due to being in restricted center zone. Other wise very pretty view and nice place.

Location was excellent.

It was just a room with bathroom- so we felt quite pricey compared to hotels nearby We did not see the owner but communication was prompt- it would have been nice however to have the opportunity to ask more about the area . Everything was fine but we hadn’t realised it was really just a room.

A lovely location. Very convenient for the busy old town, but also quiet. Breakfast was coffee+croissant in nearby cafe - which was very nice. Room was very nice, a bit small (which is clear in the description)....but manages to have all facilities in place. Overall - very happy.

Nothing

The location was perfect. We simply walked out the door and was on the Piazza san Venezia with a beautiful view of the sea. We felt like we were literally inside a cave. The accommodations were very authentic to the old town of Bari. It was close to everything inside the walls

Could use an AC adjustment since it was not as cool as we like (personal taste). Also would like another two pillows for comfortability factor. Would be a good idea to have a place to hang wet bath towels. These minor suggestions would not interfere with our giving a high rating to this B & B.
