"Great place to stay in countryside but with easy access to coast and port"

We did not have breakfast as we had an early ferry, but had a lovely evening meal the night before. Lodge was clean and a good size. Bed was comfortable. There's plenty of parking which was just as well as there was an event in the barn just starting as we arrived. Very easy and short drive to Dover for the ferry.

When we stayed 4 years ago there was a lovely view across the fields behind the lodges and that has been lost due to the 4 mobile home now situated there; but I guess that's good for the business. Otherwise nothing we didn't like

The rooms were pleasantly clean, had a few cobwebs in places. Very pleasant, quiet place to stay.

Couldn't control the thermostat in the room. But on hindsight we could have asked at the Crown lodge pub.

"The accommodation met our expectations perfectly."

We didn’t eat at the pub, but judging by the fact that the dining room was very busy the food must be good. Our lodge was newly built and very clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Parking wasn’t a problem.
