ESThe couple that manages the place tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Besides, the room has a nice view of Ella and is located right next to restaurants and cafes. They prepare a delicious breakfast and the laundry service could not be better!
ZAThe location was great as you could take a quick walk into town and be amongst the restaurants! The bed was comfortable and had a lovely outside area to sit. The night was peaceful with very little disturbances.
The tea was very milky and if you looked closely at the drains you could see stuff growing.

PLThe staff was super nice and friendly! Room was big and spacious with nice bathroom and tarrace. Everything was as it's supposed to be. Location is very good, everywhere is close. It's on a hill so a tiny challange to climb up with a big backpack but that's not a big issue.

THGood location, right next to the main part of Ella (yet still quiet). The staff are very, very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and were happy to be able to take the fan outside on hot days. The shower was hot!!! The breakfast feast was the best we've had- be sure to request the Sri Lankan style!
The room needs a re-paint, and there's no view over Ella.
SKOverall spacious and clean rooms overlooking some greenery. The owner(s) did everything to make our stay pleasant, helped us with anything we needed or asked for. Breakfast was OK (same thing every day) served on the terrace. The beds had mosquito nets and were comfortable and we had running hot water every day. There's also a restaurant where you can have tasty, freshly prepared food. Wifi was working fine.
- Relatively close to the main (party) street of Ella, so you hear some noise coming from there. Also cars, motor bikes and tuk-tuks making their way up the steep hill will be rather noisy. However, this is not the fault of the hosts. - Reality is a bit different than the photos, but still okay. - Golden Cabin restaurant is marked on the map, the homestay is just behind it (not marked clearly).
