BGThe owner was the best! He would give advices, tips and helped us a lot to find transportation for our next destination. The breakfast was delicious and he would ask us what we preferred. They also gave us anything we asked for - a kettle, extra towels, a bucket. The location is top as well - even though there is a little walking up a hill, it is not a deal breaker. We would stay here again!
Nothing. Fyi: the pressure of the water is a bit lower, but so far we saw this is common for Sri Lanka.

DEGBVery little to like about this hotel except that it is central to the town.
We had cockroaches in the room as well as an infestation of very large ants. There were no sheets on the beds and the rooms were very insecure, a puff of wind would snap the locks on the doors. There was no internet connection, we were served tea from broken cups, and when the power went off they had no idea how to fix it. The host looked rather dirty and unsightly and chose not to wear a shirt for the entire stay, even when serving us tea. We declined breakfast on sanitary grounds. I could go on but I think you get the picture. I acknowledge that it was cheap however the description and facilities as described on Booking.com were not as we experienced them and I am very unclear as to how they had previously received such good reviews.
NZExcellent location right in town. Friendly host, bed was comfortable. Room was clean. The shower was good. The last guest stayed for a month, so it is good value for people wanting to stay for long periods.
Access is via the odd slippery stair, so be mindful when you access the house. There is no breakfast, only tea and coffee. So the host will update the advert.
RUPerfect location, near to the center and the same time it is very quiet here. Very kind host, very tasty breakfast. Hot water is working well, blankets are warm, room is very clean and rather spacious (compare to other hotels in Ella for this price). Hosts have their own restaurant with tasty food for a very good price. Thank you for your hospitality!
