Raveena Guest House

Place is 10 minutes walk from city centre and 20 min from railway station, which is very convenient. Breakfast is big and very good. A view from the room was also nice.

Our room was very moldy with a bad smell.

I had a wonderful stay at Raveena Guest house. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect during my visit. The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, which made me feel right at home. Their local tips and recommendations were also super helpful, adding to an already amazing experience. Location - within walking distance to the train station. Also only a quick 5-minute walk to the main strip with all the restaurants, cafes, shops, and bars. Little Adams Peak and Ella Rock are easy to reach from the guest house. It's worth mentioning that there are 2 ways to get to the guest house - the main one is along the road with the guest house down the hill at the end. The second is a short cut along a path which brings you out on to the main road at the end of the main strip. Our room - was spacious with a nice big comfortable bed. Towels were provided and the bathroom was clean, with a decent shower. From our terrace outside our room we had a spectacular view across the rainforrest/jungle towards Ella Rock. Some mornings we had monkeys playing in the trees right in front of us, and they would come walk along the terrace balcony which we thought was awesome!! Breakfast - was cooked fresh every morning and was nice and varied; there would be a traditional Sri Lankan option, either dhal with roti or string hoppers and coconut symbol, or egg hoppers) as well as toast with a fried egg and some marmalade. We also had rolled pancakes and fresh fruit along woth tea/coffee and even a freshly squeezed juice one morning. It was probably the best breakfast we've had during our 2 week trip here and certai ly set you up for the day. The staff - a big thankyou to Podi and his family. He was super helpful at helping us organise a Safari trip and taxi to Yala at short notice. A light bulb in our room didn't work and he happily moved us to another room so he could fix it. Extra services - Podi offers scooter rental at a reasonable price on site, which made exploring the area (there are loads of hikes amd waterfallss to visit in the area) very cheap and easy in the 3 days we spent in Ella We also had some laundry done for a good price and it was returned to us the next day folded beautifully. Overall - we highly recommend Raveena Guest House.

Only very minor, but the shortcut path is not lit up and can be muddy if its rained so a torch is handy. Ask how you find it when you get there, as it will definitely save you time walking into town.

This beautiful family run accommodation was so peaceful. The food served here Was exceptional and better than in town. Room was large and clean. Amazing views and definitely recommend 👌

No water bottle in room, No other amenities, was not provided wifi password and the host was not very welcoming

Very nice and helpful host family. The rooms were big enough, great from the balcony. Was really a pleasure to stay there. Breakfast was great. Also has dinner there once, can definitely recommend it.

Location is in the middle of the forest, you can enjoy sounds coming out. Owner is kind, always prepared to help. Breakfast was delicious. Five minutes walking to the centre. Parking available, but is an adrenaline ride car ride to the property.
