Raveena GH is a great place to enjoy your stay in Ella. Situated just right out of the center, offering great views to Ella rock and the valley. The big rooms with terrace on the first floor are the best one. Amit and Ganesha are great hosts!🙏🙂 Definitely a place to come back and recommend to our friends Thank you for everything.

The location was good, near enough to walk into town but a bit out of the busy centre. It was very nice and green. The dinner we had was good. The room was clean.

We had a really horrible experience here. We had the very small room in the front of the house, right by the parking area. The bed was very uncomfortable, small and the blankets were not big enough to cover me and my partner. Due to its location and thin wall/ windows we could hear everything, including the very loud guests who kept us awake until 1:30am. I would have expected the owners to have said something to them but they didn’t. We eventually fell asleep about 2:30am only to be woken up by construction noise around 4am and then mopeds leaving between 5-6am (this was other guests leaving after being woken up by the noise, we spoke to these guests later about the construction). Three other couples said the construction was noisy too. This is partly out of their control but the proximity of the room to the parking area and construction works at 4am unfortunately causes this. The next day we asked them to move rooms. They said we could but to a more expensive room, which we couldn’t view because it was currently occupied. We didn’t want to waste our day waiting for the guests to checkout so eventually we said ok, we’ll take it and packed up our stuff and left our bags with them in reception to check into the new room later on. When we returned at 5pm we asked them for the key to the new room, to which they replied what key? When I said to the new room, they said that we hadn’t said we wanted to take it and it’s all booked now and there are people in it and no other rooms available (we had a 3 night online booking!). The new guests were there for 6 nights so it seemed to us that they had ignored us to rather take a much longer stay. So at 5pm we were stranded without accommodation for the night and we had to go find other accommodation at the last minute. I was absolutely shocked and furious that this should have happened and the owners would act like this and at their lack of concern over it.

Very quiet and out of the town with a beautiful veranda. The staff were amazing, the lady even gave cooking lessons in the afternoon so you could actually make your own dinner

A little bit away from the town ( 10 min walk ) and also it was a bit basic. But was excellent value for money

Ambient is fabulous, friendly staff, very quiet location, 10min walk to city center.

Bad wasn’t comftortalbe, but maybe that was situatition with our room.

The host was very friendly and breakfast was satisfactory. I had laundry done nd there were no problems with it. It was within walking distance of the centre and very quiet.

It was not very easy to find and the access was such that my driver would not go within about 400 metres of the guest house. It was about 500 - 600 metres of the city centre and walking access was quiet good. At night there was no lighting along the route and the short cut became unsafe. The main route was OK but you needed a toch. The access was difficult enough that O would not stay there again.

Wonderful accommodation. Fantastic breakfast. Would absolutely stay here again if I have the opportunity.

The lady serving the breakfast was very lovely and breakfast was tasty. The view from this place is great and you could walk to the city center.

Unfortunatelly we can not recommend this place. We had to change our hotel because the air condition in the room was very bad. Ofcourse in the humid environment the air might be sometimes humid as well but this was something very different from any room that we have had in SriLanka. Air was moldy and propably the bed as well. Our clothing got wet and started to smell. We also got some itching and flue symptoms while staying in the room. Our room was cheaper one and inside the house. We discussed with other guests and they told us that more expensive rooms have been also worse than they expected. Family gave us a chance to change our room, but because of the discussion with other visitors we wanted to change the place fully. This place has propably been very nice once, but now it would need alot of cleaning and renovation to meet the expectations that you get from the pictures.

Large , modern, clean room with comfy bed. Views to die for. Friendly hosts. Lovely breakfast, again with wonderful views.

No wifi in the room as it’s a separate building to the main house, it could do with a wifi extender. However wifi is so bad generally in Sri Lanka we weren’t missing much!
