Sehr hübsches "Hotel" mit 3 Zimmern. Unsere Maisonette gab uns das Gefühl eines eigenen Häuschens in fantastischer Lage. Das Zimmer wurde vom Besitzer selbst errichtet und ist bis ins Detail liebevoll ausgestattet. Das Frühstück und Abendessen wird auf die eigene Terrasse serviert und schmeckt ausgezeichnet! Man fühlt sich zu Gast in einer srilankesischen Familie. Wunderbarer Ausblick! Der Besitzer ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit, wir wurden jederzeit mit dem Tuk Tuk hinauf zur Straße zu unserem Fahrer gebracht. In den 4 Wochen Sri Lanka hat sich diese Unterkunft wirklich vervorgehoben!

We stayed at Guest Inn Avendra in September 2025 and had a truly memorable experience. This charming, family-run guesthouse offered everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit to Ella. The hosts—Imantha and his lovely parents—were warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel genuinely welcome. They went above and beyond to organize all our activities in Ella and were always available for anything we needed. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and we appreciated the peaceful setting. They also have their own tuk tuk, which made getting around super easy—including pick-up and drop-off from the railway station, which was a huge help. One of the standout features was the absolutely delicious breakfast, which was included in the room rate. Even better, they were open to suggestions and happy to tailor it to our preferences. A perfect start to each day! The customer service was exceptional—nothing ever felt like too much trouble. We truly felt like valued guests rather than just customers. We highly recommend Guest Inn Avendra to anyone visiting Ella. If you’re looking for genuine hospitality, great food, a peaceful environment, and top-notch service, this is the place.

Wat een gastheer! Hij zorgt voor alles wat je nodig hebt, tuktuk ritjes naar de stad, heerlijk koud glas voor je biertje of een fantastisch ontbijt. Hij doet het allemaal. Dan nog niets gezegd over het uitzicht, alle recensies zijn waar! Het is fantastisch!

The cabin was beautiful and well organized. The host was amazing very helpful and always arranged a toktok for us. It’s a bit far from the city, but we really enjoyed the peaceful stay and the great view, especially at breakfast.

Lo que mas destacaríamos seria el buen trato de Imantha. Se preocupo por nuestra llegada, por nuestra estancia, y por nuestro próximo trayecto. Hizo que nuestra estancia en Ella fuese perfecta. Respecto a la habitación, era muy bonita, con una terraza con una hamaca, mesa y sillas. Todas las mañanas nos preparaba un delicioso desayuno típico de Sri Lanka. También nos ofreció el servicio para poder limpiar nuestra ropa. Nos ayudo también con un problema que tuvimos al coger el ticket del tren. Es verdad que el alojamiento esta algo alejado del centro de Ella (es bastante bullicioso). Sin embargo, nos alegramos de haber escogido esta ubicación por las maravillosas vistas y tranquilidad (respecto a ir al centro de Ella, ellos mismos nos ofrecieron su tuktuk a las horas que queríamos para ir y volver del centro). Con lo cual estar lejos del centro de Ella no supuso ningún problema (10minutos en tuktuk). Se lo recomendaría a cualquiera que vaya a Ella sin ninguna duda.

Ein sehr schöner ruhiger Ort mit einem fantastischen Ausblick auf Ella und die Berge. Die Famile ist so herzlich zu einem Wahnsinn. Das Frühstück sowie das Abendessen sind sehr lecker und zu empfehlen besonders dabei sind das alle Früchte aus ihrem eigenen Garten ist. Das Zimmer ist sehr modern hat eine Klimanlage, warmes Wasser, Toilettenpapier, dimmbares Licht im Schlafbereich aus dem Zimmer selbst sieht man bereits auf die Berge aber das Highlicht ist die private Liegelounge mit Kissen und Kuscheldecken um perfekt ausgerüstet zu sein für den Sonnenaufgang. Auch das abholen von der Bahnstation oder in die stadt rein funktioniert einwandfrei mit dem tuk tuk service was sie anbieten. Die Familie ist wirklich 24/7 erreichbar und wohnt auch paar Stufen unter unserem Zimmer. Ein echt sehr angenehme ruhige und Naturfreundliche Anlage was hier gebaut wurde.

The entire accommodation is very clean and the hosts take excellent care of their guests. They organize tuk-tuk rides at reasonable prices and help you with everything you need. I got up early to enjoy the sunrise from the balcony, which was beautiful, and the view of the trains from above was also something very special. We spent three weeks in Sri Lanka, but breakfast on the balcony was the best breakfast I had during my trip.

A first class experience with Imantha and his family. The family are wonderful and have created a comfortable and welcoming homestay. Although it is not in central Ella, the family provide tuk tuks at any time, meaning we were able to go out in Ella town each night and get back easily. The breakfast and views into the mountains were incredible. Would come back.
