River Splendour Home Stay

The host and all the staff were super friendly, were very helpful and genuine. We took part in the cooking class which was such a lovely experience. Location was good, 2 min bus into Ella town. The room was comfy and clean and overall such good value for money with breakfast included

Lovely family and very helpful. Gorgeous Sri Lankan breakfast. Waterfall in the garden amazing and you can climb down and get in or sunbath on the chilling platform. Value for money excellent. And easy to get a tuk tuk in and out of town.

Das Personal war sehr nett, der Wasserfall bietet eine sehr schöne Location, Ella ist mit dem Tuktuk schnell erreichbar.

When you walk down the steps to the waterfall area, it is nice and quite and beautiful with good views. Since i travelled in March, waterfall did not have so much water so, it did not look that amazing as it shows in pictures, but i can imagine that it looks beautiful in right season.

There was no view from balconies and rooms of our rooms which was not well communicated via pictures . The staff was decent and responsive but not very warm and friendly. the service was low and not at par as i have had at other homestays.

Staff were kind and helpful.

The room was very small for a family of four.

The place is located just off the highway and easy to get to but limited parking , it included free breakfast, lovely hosts with very good english. The waterfall and hang out space is stunning. My daughter loved placing in the water closest to the road on the property and the adults enjoyed the hanging nets and beanbags near the big waterfall. They offer a laundry service while we stayed with them, which was nice. The triple room was clean, spacious and offered everything we needed.

Shan and Champi were excellent hosts and the property was well located for all the main attractions in Ella. Our room was clean and spacious and we really liked being next to the river, there’s a lovely relaxation area by the waterfall. One of the highlights was taking part in the cooking class, we made lots of very tasty curry dishes and ate together, it was a really enjoyable evening. Shan and Champi were really helpful with lifts and organising transport and with advice on what to visit.
