The laundry service is wonderful. The views are amazing. The rooms comfortable.

At this location, like Lamu itself, there’s unfortunately a high amount of the fetishization of the white person or western person — which also means horrible treatment for the black person. Brainwashing at its finest. Lamu excels at that and at having high amounts of poverty and unemployment, hence being a rife spot for sex tourism — many tourists and immigrant whites are there for that. So, expect to be treated in that manner if you’re black or not western. As a repeat client, rather than treating you properly, at this location repeat clientism has earned me deteriorating treatment. To the point that on 3 recent stays, the housekeeper (Tom) had exit the house — leaving his phone at the house, and on my arrival despite calling him multiple times, I had to hunt for him around Shela to be able to access the accommodation. I received no apology from him but rather contemptuous treatment. I don’t think he’s handling that responsibility well. The shared bathroom is also in an alarming state. I’ll not be visiting again.

A great hotel in the middle of the amazing town Shella. We enjoyed it!

The rooftop terrace was really nice and breezy, and the location was very close to the beach, some good shops, and restaurants. Would have been totally fine for a very basic stay

We ended up moving to a different hotel and not staying, as we were hoping for a little bit more luxury. Rooms were quite small and the fans wouldn't work in the heat which was a bit worrying. We were also very close to the call to prayer and it was very loud in the rooms/hotel. The bathrooms were quite basic, and the kitchen/communal area was very basic and rustic. Also the pool is not in the building! It's in the other hotel associated with the hotel.

La stanza si trova in un'ottima posizione, il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo.

La struttura fatiscente, il bagno, le porte, il ventilatore, ogni cosa è cadente. Certo che, considerato che abbiamo pagato 29 euro al giorno compresa la colazione , se ci si adatta si può stare. La piscina che si vede nelle foto è di un altro albergo, sempre appartenente al proprietario
