The Village Inn

Good location 😃

We were greeted by the owner and she directed us to a parking place nearer our room round the back, which was much more practical. One of the guys working in the bar took us upstairs to our room and settled us in. The rooms were well aired and fresh, the shared bathrooms clean and large. It was on the village square and right next door was a café for breakfast and a convenience store. Checkout was easy and hassle-free. I had a tremendous whiskey in the bar.

I didn't like the fact we arrived too late to appreciate it. We were there for practical reasons this time. But we will return later for a few days to enjoy the place for a bit longer. Apart from that, nothing of note.

end of season and quiet so hard to review but bar closed on Mondays, all self service with no staff at property

I rode the National championships in Castlebar, the stay was better than expected and the staff were brillant, I will stay again and recommend it to others
